The Mohawk Terminal Railway (MTR) is a proto freelance model railroad set in the eastern Mohawk Valley of NY State west of Mechanicville Yard during the time in the 70s-80s between the formation of Conrail and Guilford. It is jointly owned by the D&H and the B&M. It serves several large industries near the fictional village of Mohawk Junction which is the site of Terminal Yard (TY). TY receives cars daily from the D&H and the B&M and twice weekly from a Conrail turn from DeWitt Yard in East Syracuse.  It also serves a cement plant and junkyard on an offline branch in the west staging yard. The layout has 5 track staging on each end of the layout which is a large J shape 24’x7’x10′.

The MTR has not yet held a formal op session. It will operate using switch lists and/or car cards/waybills.  The industries include a large flour mill, Packaging plant, Bakery Graphics Co. Cement plant, Warehousing firm, wholesale HVAC/plumbing supply and Pallet manufacturer and a team track. There are also 2 non-rail served industries.

All track is in and operable. The layout is partially sceniced.
